On February 2, 2021 at approximately 9:22 AM, the Webster Fire Department was dispatched to eastbound State Route 104 near Holt Road for a vehicle flipped. On January 31, 2021, members of the Webster Volunteer Fire Department participated in a vehicle extrication drill at the Roseland Station training facility at Salt and Plank Roads. It was the first time that firefighters were able to conduct vehicle extrication training inside during inclement weather. District Secretary Richard P. Tompkins retired from District service on January 13th, 2021. Secretary Tompkins “Dick” has served as District Secretary since the District’s inception in January of 2005. We send Dick our sincerest thanks and gratitude for all his years of dedicated service and wish him the best in his well-deserved retirement. Thank you Dick!!

On December 30, 2020, the North East Joint Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners swore in two Commissioners and the 2021 Chief Officers. Board Chairman Richard Swingly issued the oaths of office to newly elected Commissioners Brad Ball and August Vorndran, Chief Robert Boutillier, First Assistant Chief Andrew Vorndran and Second Assistant Chief Brian Smith.
On Thanksgiving evening Webster firefighters were dispatched for the report of a barn fire in the area of 300 Phillips Rd. Firefighters responded immediately as they were returning from 2 previous alarms in the District. The District Chief went on scene reporting heavy fire from a 2 story structure with additional exposures in imminent danger and requested a 2nd alarm.

On Wednesday, November 11th, the Rochester Americans Alumni and Hall of Famer Jody Gage visited the Enderlin Station as part of T-Mobil’s “Fueling the Frontlines” initiative. The Amerks and T-Mobile will be vising 10 local fire departments over the next several weeks, the first of which was the Webster Volunteer Fire Department.
