| At the December 9, 2025, meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners, the Board appointed Scott M. Crosier to fill a Commissioner vacancy following the passing of Chairman Richard “Dick” Swingly.
Scott Crosier is a 32-year veteran of the New York State Police, having retired in 2018 at the rank of Deputy Superintendent/Colonel. Scott also served more than 30 years with the Bergen Fire Department in Genesee County, serving two terms as Fire Chief. Scott joined the Webster Volunteer Fire Department in October of 2021, is currently an interior firefighter and serves as the District’s Safety & Health Officer. Scott also serves as a Monroe County Fire Bureau Fire Investigator.
Throughout his long-distinguished tenure in law enforcement with the New York State Police and his volunteerism in the fire service, Scott has attained extensive experience and expertise in professional personnel administration, organizational management, municipal budgeting, and public funds auditing. Everyone at the North East Joint Fire District welcomes Scott to his new volunteer position as a Fire Commissioner with the North East Joint Fire District.
On December 9, 2025, the North East Joint Fire District held its annual election where incumbent Fire Commissioner Bradley Ball was elected to a 5-year term as Fire Commissioner, and incumbent Fire Commissioner Edward Dake was elected to a 2-year term as Fire Commissioner.
