| On March 25, 2026, at 8:24 p.m., the Webster Fire Department responded to the 500 block of Holt Road for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, crews found an active fire in the attic and second floor of a single-family home. Firefighters faced challenging interior conditions, which initially made it difficult to reach the main area of the fire. Despite these obstacles, they were able to contain the fire to the second floor and attic. The fire was brought under control at approximately 9:07 p.m. Fire personnel remained on scene until 11:48 p.m. to conduct overhaul operations and ensure the structure was safe. The Webster Fire Department acknowledges the valuable assistance provided at the scene by the Lincoln Fire Department, West Webster Fire Department, Webster Police Department, and Penfield Webster EMS. Appreciation is also extended to the Ontario Fire Department and Penfield Fire Department for covering the district during the incident. Two firefighters were treated for minor injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Monroe County Fire Bureau. Steve Kozak |
