The Webster Volunteer Fire Department Board of Directors is pleased to announce that they have selected Charles Styles as their 2022 recipient of the WVFD Board of Directors Award. The Board of Directors cited that in addition to Charlie’s many decades of dedicated volunteer service with the Union Hill and Webster Volunteer Fire Departments, Charlie is being recognized for his diligence in maintaining the portraits of the WVFD Past Presidents and Past Chiefs that are proudly on display at the WVFD Enderlin Station. Most recently Charlie took on the project of memorializing the portraits of the Past Presidents and Past Chiefs who are now deceased. This was done by carefully placing black memorial ribbons on each of the respective portraits to ensure they would not be marred and that each portrait received the proper dignity and respect they deserve. More importantly, Charlie took on this very tedious and time-consuming project without the expectation of receiving any special recognition. Charlie believed his reward for completing this important project was to show his pride for the WVFD and all those who have unselfishly served the Department and the community.

Thank you very much Charlie and congratulations!
