Past Fire Commissioner William Boulter

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Past Fire Commissioner William Boulter. William ‘Bill” Boulter was among the first appointed Fire Commissioners of the North East Joint Fire District was one of the five first elected NEJFD Fire Commissioners. Bill Boulter was a strong advocate of local public safety, especially the Webster Volunteer Fire Department, and a true champion of the Webster Community. Bill was always ready to assist the WVFD in any way possible and he will be greatly missed.

Obituary:

Webster - January 9, 1946 – June 30, 2022. William “Bill” G. Boulter, retired owner of Boulter Rigging Corporation, passed away with his four children by his side on June 30, 2022. He was 76. William is predeceased by his wife, Sherry A. Boulter and sister Nancy (Cunningham) Lyon. He is survived by his children, Theresa L. Boulter, William S. Boulter (Jen), Jeffrey S. Boulter (Michelle) and Jennifer N. Fox (Peter); three sisters, Debbie Mros (Greg), Darlene Spain (Kevin), and Marilynn Lesczynski (Mike); 8 beautiful grandchildren whom he loved and adored; and several nieces and nephews.

William G. was the fourth generation of the Boulter Organization. He expanded the business and started the Rigging division in the late 70’s in Webster, NY. Bill was a strong advocate of local public safety especially in the Webster Volunteer Fire Department where he was among the first appointed Fire Commissioners of the North East Joint Fire District. He was also a proud supporter of NEQALS in Webster. Bill was the founder of the Webster Community Sports Complex. In 1997, he generously donated the land where the complex stands. Bill was a true champion of the Webster Community.

A Celebration of Life will be held for him and his wife, Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 4-8PM at the Webster Fireman’s Building, 172 Sanford Street, Webster, NY 14580.
