Serious Salt Road Crash With Entrapment

On August 12, 2020 at 1037 Hrs. the Webster Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the 600 block of Salt Road for the reported motor vehicle crash with a vehicle that struck a pole and was on its side. 1C10 arrived on scene and confirmed a vehicle on its side with a person trapped. Firefighters had to stabilize the vehicle and extricate the occupant by removing the roof.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling north on Salt Road, left the east shoulder, became airborne and struck a primary power pole. The vehicle ended up on its side trapping the occupant inside. Once extricated the occupant was transported to a local hospital. The investigation is being conducted by the Webster Police Department.

The Webster Fire Department was assisted at the scene by Webster Emergency Medical Services and the North East Quadrant Advanced Life Support.
