On Thursday, April 23 at 4:24pm the Webster Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for the report of a room on fire in the 900 block of Krieger Road. 1C10 arrived on scene with heavy smoke showing from the second floor and confirmed a fire on the second floor of the apartment. By quickly shutting the door to the bedroom, first arriving crews were able to contain the fire to a single room until a handline was in place. E102, E103, E104, T100, and R108 responded and crews quickly extinguished the fire and checked for extension into the adjoining apartment. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians. Thanks go out to the West Webster Fire Department who provided a RIC team and ambulance on scene and to the Ontario Fire Company and Penfield Fire Company who provided the fill-in.
