Serious Crash With Person Trapped on State Route 104

On Tuesday, August 20, at approximately 9:24 AM, the Webster and West Webster Fire Departments, NEQALS and Webster Emergency Medical Services responded to State Route 104 westbound, west of Five Mile Line Road, for numerous calls of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries and a person trapped. West Webster Command arrived and confirmed the multi-vehicle crash with numerous patients and confirmed a male trapped in a box truck.

Crews from Webster and West Webster extricated the victim from the box truck utilizing the “Jaws of Life”. Fire crews also assisted with scene and vehicle stabilization while other patients were treated by on-scene medical personnel.
Several patients were transported to area hospitals. Although serious, none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening. The investigation is being conducted by the New York State Police.
