Working House Fire on Stafford Crescent   By NEJFD Executive Director Steven C. Small February 28, 2010   02-28-10 1552 Hrs: The Webster Fire Department responded to a Stafford Crescent address this afternoon for a reported fire in the attached garage. The original call reported that there was garbage on fire in the garage and that the occupants were evacuating. Moments later the ECD dispatcher reported multiple calls for a house fire. Webster Fire officials arrived on scene and reported a working structure fire. The attached garage and a vehicle in the driveway were well involved. Crews were able to knock down the fire with minimal water and smoke damage to the main part of the home. The garage, its contents and the vehicle in the driveway were a total loss. No civilian injuries were reported. One Webster firefighter was treated at the scene for possible exhaustion and transported to the hospital for evaluation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
