The New Year Brings New and Familiar Faces   By NEJFD Executive Director Steven C. Small January 6, 2010   New and familiar faces were the theme at the North East Joint Fire District's organizational meeting held on New Year's Day. William Southwell was sworn in as the newest Fire Commissioner for the District. Mike Hyman was sworn in as a Fire Commissioner to finish out the term of retired Commissioner Bill Boulter. Mike Hyman had just completed his full term as Fire Commissioner. Commissioner Stephen Wright was elected Chairman of the Board. Chairman Wright swore in what is believed to be the first "father-son" Chiefs of the Webster Volunteer Fire Department. WFD President Daloia also presented outgoing Chief Stephen Andrews with his official WFD Chief's portrait. The following is a list of some of the actions that took place at the organizational meeting.
