October 23, 2018
On October 23 the volunteer firefighters of the Webster Volunteer Fire Department/North East Joint Fire District had a very busy Tuesday. In just over a 12 hour period the dedicated men and women of the Webster Volunteer Fire Department responded to 8 emergency calls including several significant events. Included in Tuesday’s responses: Mutual aid to the West Webster Fire Department for a commercial roof fire on Empire Boulevard, a Hazmat incident involving a vehicle on Holt Road, a motor vehicle crash with entrapment on Barrett Drive and a trench/below grade rescue involving a cement truck and primary electric lines on Shallow Brook Terrace. On this particular busy day, and every day, we owe a great amount of gratitude to our local volunteer emergency responders for the extraordinary services they provide.
