February 26, 2017 1417 Hours:

On February 26, 2017, shortly after 2 PM, the Webster Fire Department was dispatched to Meadow Drive in the Village of Webster for the reported ceiling of a house on fire. While units were responding the call was upgraded by the fire dispatcher to several calls reporting a house on fire. Command arrived and declared a working fire in a two story residential structure. Crews from the Webster Fire Department and assisting neighboring fire departments had the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes. The home sustained significant fire, smoke and water damage. No injuries were reported at the scene. It is believed that a wood burning stove may have been a factor in the cause of the fire. The fire investigation is being handled by the Monroe County Fire Bureau.
