On February 6, 2012, shortly after 7 PM, the Webster Fire Department was dispatched to a Deerhurst Lane address for a report of smoke in the structure with a fire alarm going off. When units arrived they found light smoke coming from the eves of the multiple dwelling apartment building. When crews entered the 2nd floor apartment they found a heavy smoke condition. Crews located a partition fire on an exterior wall. The fire was quickly extinguished and fire damage was contained to the apartment's bedroom. There was minor smoke damage throughout the dwelling. The preliminary investigation indicated that an electrical issue was the cause of the fire. Webster was assisted at the scene and provided fill in companies by the Union Hill, West Webster, Ridge Culver and Penfield Fire Departments. Photos are courtesy of Brad Cowan.
