On February 7, 2024, at 2:24 PM, the Webster Fire Department was dispatched to the 1400 block of State Road for multiple calls of a truck on fire. Engine 103 arrived at the corrected address of 1320 State Road, Schantz Park, with a large pile of garbage on fire directly behind a garbage truck. On December 28, 2023, the North East Joint Fire District’s Board of Fire Commissioners swore in the 2024 Chief Officers. The Chiefs were elected by the membership of the Webster Volunteer Fire Department and approved by the Board of Fire Commissioners. Serving as District Chief will be Brian Smith, First Assistant Chief Steve Kozak and Second Assistant Chief Dan Andrews.
