- It is with sorrow that the Webster Volunteer Fire Department announces the passing of Past Chief Wilson O. Mottler. Chief Mottler passed away on April 4th, 2012 at the age of 83. Chief Mottler served the Webster Volunteer Fire Department as Fire Chief in 1952 and 1953. The following is the obituary from the Democrat and Chronicle.

- Four Webster Volunteer Firefighters have recently returned from New Mexico where they participated in FEMA Homeland Security Training. Captain Paul Rulli, Lieutenant Zach Rulli, Safety Officer Mike Maglier and Firefighter Greg Bower all completed the Office for Domestic Preparedness course in Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings. - On 03/07/12, shortly after 9 PM, the Webster Fire Department was dispatched to a Kircher Park address for the report of smoke in the structure. Arriving units found a fire on the second floor. - On February 22, shortly before 2am, the Webster Fire Department was dispatched to the 1200 block of Jackson Road for a report of a fire outside, unknown cause. Moments later the assignment was upgraded to a motor vehicle crash with a vehicle into a utility pole and tree, with the vehicle and tree on fire.
